All About Honda Exterior Accessories
Here's a few of the quickest, easiest, and cheapest mods to start with.
Running Boards
However you refer to these -- as step rails, side steps, step bars, side rails, or nerf bars -- they're great mods from plain door sills. What a running board does is make getting into and out of, say, a truck like Honda Ridgeline much easier -- especially if it's equipped with a lift kit, with custom coil springs, control arms, shocks and struts, and so on. If you want both that convenience and to get a little attention, though, go with illuminated and powered running boards.
Air/Wind Deflectors
SUVs like Honda CR-V only remain enjoyable rides if they can cut through resistance ("drag") well enough to keep road feel smooth. Air and wind deflectors can help one do that. An added perk: they reduce the noise of the road at the same time, making for a much quieter cabin.
Splash Guards
Drive a Honda Civic? Drive on bad-enough roads, through worse weather, and the wheel wells, the wheels themselves, and the underbody can cake with dirt, mud, gravel, dust, rocks, you name it. Splash guards (and their ruggeder siblings, mud flaps and mud guards) help minimize that grime getting stuck on, cutting the chance of corrosion and helping undercarriage parts last longer.
Of course, there's plenty more where these came from. Need help installing something? Get in touch with a Honda dealer.
